Precision Rifle

Precision Rifle competitions are fired in pairs, with team members working as shooter and spotter respectively. Competitors will fire from the prone position on a mix of modified and standard military targets at ranges between 200m and 900m. Successful teams will need to have excellent wind reading and communication.

Typical matches will include deliberate stages, as well as snap shooting and moving targets. Most competitors, including police and military snipers, will utilize highly accurate magazine-fed bolt action rifles and higher magnification riflescopes.

The DCRA offers divisions for Open (any legal caliber), and Classic ( 5.56/.223, .308, or .303), as well as a division for uniformed CAF/RCMP members using issued equipment.
