The 1st F Class World Championships ended today with the International and Open Team Matches. It was again a splendid day for shooting - warm, but not too hot or humid, with a light but variable breeze mostly from the right. The team coaches were kept on their toes.

The International Match was won by the USA with 2068 (HPS 2160), from Australia, 2054, and South Africa, 2038. The match was extremely close until the last 900 metre range, when the US Team pulled ahead. Other scores were: Great Britain 2034; Canada 2031; Germany (to be confirmed) 1860.

The Open Match, for unrestricted teams of four shooters, was won by the USA "Red" Team, with 1037 (HPS 1080). Other scores: USA "Blue" 1031; Australia "Gold" 1031; Australia "Green" 1023. Fifteen teams fired in this match.

The Prize Presentations took place in late afternoon, with Mr. Paul De Villers, Secretary of State for Sport in the Government of Canada, as guest of honour and presentor. Three awards of primary mention were the Milcun Shield, presented by Keith Cunningham and Linda Miller of Milcun Marksmanship, and two silver trophies, the Rutland for the International Teams, and the Farqhuarson for the Open Teams, donated by Mr. Jim McAllister, "The Dour Lowland Scot".

The 120th DCRA CRFC and the 1st FCWC are now over. Both have been very successful prize meetings. Shooters from around the world are invited to the 121st CFRC to be held at Connaught next August.
