We are pleased to announce the following appointments
Captain: Ian Hames
At the DCRA Council Meeting to be held at Connaught on Sunday 28 March 2010, nominations will be requested and elections held for the following Team Captains for matches to be held during the Canadian Championships in August 2010. These are in addition to the F Class captains being separately appointed as above. DCRA members are urged to give advance consideration to these appointments.
We have received invitations Marksman Fall 2009 Invites from South Africa and Barbados for Canadian representation at events in 2010. All those interested should contact the DCRA as quickly as possible.
The DCRA International Teams Sub-Committee has presented to the Executive Committee a revised statement of policies and priorities regarding International Teams. Following considerable discussion, prior to and at the Executive Meeting in April and by a further mail ballot in May 2009, the Executive Committee approved the statement as a general framework of DCRA policy regarding Canadian International Teams. The proposals for funding were also approved, with the exception of increased funding for the TR Bisley Team. Revised proposals for the latter will be presented to the Executive at its next meeting in December 2009. Funding allocations will be determined following the review of the 2008-2009 financial statements and form part of the budget for 2009-2010. The final budget will be presented to Council at the March Meeting.
